Cube by Fernand Pierre
Fernand Pierre (1919-2002) grew up in an infamous slum near Port-au-Prince Haiti. He worked in wood ceramics and then found his calling as a painter. After refining his skills at the Centre d'Art, Pierre became known as one of the founding fathers of Haitian naive art. This particular painted cube is covered in an evenly-spaced colorful fruit pattern on a solid sky-blue background.
