Confit Pot Green

French antique confit pots were originally designed as containers to store duck in the cold earth before modern refrigeration was available. These have been a signature of the French gourmet kitchen and were typically glazed with a rich mustard or honey colored glaze. The warm patins developed naturally over time. Chips and imperfections are a testament to their history and use. This green hue is rare and very hard to find.
